Where is footage of nuclear bombs taken from and how do the cameras survive?

I have seen footage of the shockwaves that nuclear bombs produce as i am sure you will have. I often wonder how the footage was shot as everything seems to get practically wiped-out eg. small buildings, trucks

From the test site, sometimes the cameras are sacrificed, and some are with very good telephoto lenses. All of them relay the pictures back to control so even the destroyed cameras film is saved.
