Let’s see:
Pasta with butter, garlic (fresh, salt, or powder) pepper and parmesan
Toasted cheese sandwich
Fried egg sandwich
Tuna salad on crackers or bread
Poached eggs on toast, side of bacon
It would help if you were more specific about just what you have on hand, because what’s commonly in my kitchen might be a far piece from what you have in yours…but hope these give you some ideas. The important thing is, with baby finally here, you do need to eat and it does need to have nutritive value.

Taco Supper Ring
When I’m looking for new meal ideas my first go to place is blogger. OK well not “Blogger” but to all of my saved favorite blogs! Some of the blogs I follow have the best recipes and the most amazing ideas from cooking, to baking, to decorating and more!
I found this idea on Hoosier Homemade’s blog and changed it up a little to go with the Taco Supper mix I got from Yoders Amish market on the way home yesterday.
Here is what you need:
2 cans of crescent roll dough
2 cups water
2 pounds ground beef
1 container of Taco Supper from Yoders Amish Market***
Shredded Colby Jack Cheese
***If you are not from around here and are unable to get a container of Taco Supper from Yoders Amish Market you could instead use Taco seasoning in your beef, add 1/4 cup uncooked noodles, 1/2 cup corn and black beans (mixed together)
What you need to do:
Preheat oven to 350. Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain grease as needed. Once ground beef is browned and drained; add 2 cups of water, taco supper mix and let come to a boil. Once it reaches a good boil on high reduce the heat to a low boil. Let cook for 10-15 minutes. Make sure pasta is tender.
On a large baking sheet lay out wax paper to cover the surface. Open the crescent rolls and unroll each triangle. Line the triangles into a circle with the tips pointing outwards; like this:
Once the dough is laid out, fill the ring with the taco mixture. Fold the tips of the dough into the center. Bake for 15 minutes or until crescent rolls are slightly brown.
Remove from oven and sprinkle cheese over the ring. Put the ring back into the oven just long enough for the cheese to melt! Voila!

Home Made Chicken Nuggets/ Chick Fil A Style
I love Chick Fil A! So when Jenny from studio j posted this recipe,I knew i had to try it. I printed it out and took it home with no intention of fixing it last night. I didn’t get home from the gym until 730 and I was so sore and tired that cooking was the last thing on my mind. BUT I needed FOOD!!!!!!!! I remembered this recipe that I printed…and TADA easy chicken nuggets that tasted almost like Chick Fil A Chicken Nuggets. I will need to work on my frying skills lol but other than that i think they turned out pretty good!
Hubby even ran up to the store and bought waffle fries so it would be more like Chick FilA
Chickfila Inspired Chicken Nuggets
What you need:
Cooking Oil
1 Egg
1 Cup of Milk
1 Cup of Flour
2 1/2 Tablespoons of Powdered Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
I Tablespoon of Salt
2 Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast, cut in strips or cubed
Mix together Egg and Milk.
Place cut chicken in mixture and let sit.
While the chicken is sitting, in a separate bowl, mix together the Flour, Powdered Sugar, Pepper and Salt. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture. I always like to double coat the chicken so I repeat these two steps.
Heat the oil to 375 degrees. You can use a deep fryer or I simply heat in a frying pan on the stove top. The coating makes the oil pretty messy and I just prefer to use a frying pan and discard the oil afterwards. Gently drop your chicken pieces in the heated oil and cook until golden brown.

Corn and Rice Tacos
Well this is not anything fancy, but hubby fixes these and I love them, so I wanted to Share.
I don’t know the amounts, because we just add everything to taste.

Sweet Corn
Yellow Rice
Shredded Cheese

Brown the beef in a skillet and drain grease. To the brown beef in the skillet add taco seasoning, and sweet corn. Stir until well combined. Let Simmer for about 5 minutes. Prepare Rice according to package. Once rice is cooked add it to the beef and corn mixture. Sprinkle with about 1/2 cup of shredded cheese and mix well. Let simmer until cheese melts.
